MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The UFC 288 headliner is official after Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo hit their marks at weigh-ins for Saturday’s bantamweight title fight.
Sterling (22-3 MMA, 14-3 UFC) will attempt to record his fourth consecutive title defense when he welcomes Cejudo (16-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC) back to competition from a three-year retirement when they meet in the main event at Prudential Center. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.
First, though, the pair had to step on the scale at official weigh-ins. They did so Friday at the UFC host hotel. Champ Sterling registered at 134 pounds. Former two-division titleholder Cejudo was the first fighter to the scale in the two-hour window and was 135.
