Victoria Beckham shows off her own sleek designs at Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding

Dressing the part as mother of the groom can be difficult. But when Victoria Beckham’s son Brooklyn married Nicola Peltz last weekend, she had the upper hand. The fashion designer could simply enlist her own London-based atelier to custom make the perfect gown.

And as she stepped out, arm in arm with husband David, she was captivating as the light struck her gleaming, silver silk satin bias cut slip dress, which cascaded down into a gentle train, and was finished with delicate French lace embroidery on the front.

The 47-year-old designer, who founded her minimally chic brand in 2008, revealed the dress in question took five days to create, and the special shimmering fabric was inspired by the reflection of moonlight on the ocean, according to British Vogue.

It perfectly suited the swanky wedding location, which took place at the Peltz family’s ocean-facing £76 million Palm Beach estate, called Montsorrel.

She finished the metallic look with matching silver shoes and gold necklace with a huge drop diamond, her hair in a high bun and a nude manicure. By her side, David Beckham was dapper in a Dior Men’s suit designed by the family friend, and London based creative director, Kim Jones.

Other guests opted for Victoria Beckham’s own label to show their support on the big day in Miami. Mia Regan (or Mimi Moocher) who is middle son Romeo Beckham’s girlfriend, posed with Victoria pre-ceremony in a sky blue silk slip dress similar to the designer’s but without the couture-level embellishments. She also added a beach reference with a bulky starfish motif necklace.

Victoria’s good friend and American actress Eva Longoria arrived in a strappy, black halter neck dress which was also of the VB label design.

And the designer made sure to kit out her mother with a new look, taking to Instagram to explain Jackie Adams’ strapless navy blue jumpsuit and cropped, peak lapel blazer was another Victoria Beckham custom design.

Inside the brand, the team will likely be hoping this ramp up of interest in the ex-Spice Girl’s toned down chic aesthetic will boost business, after reports surfaced at the end of 2021 showing total losses of over £50 million since it launched.
