Victoria Beckham is concerned after her son Brooklyn and new wife Nicola Peltz reportedly moved in with close friend Selena Gomez.
The couple, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at the Peltz family estate in Miami last April, has moved in with the actress. Fashion designer Victoria, 48, was reported to be "shocked" at the news and expressed her concerns to her son as Selena, 30, has “a history of falling out with people.”
An insider told Closer Magazine that Posh Spice was “shocked” when she heard Brooklyn, 23, and Nicola, 28, were living with Selena at her house. “And with the tension already high between her and Nicola, Vic was also understandably concerned with things becoming even more fraught with Selena’s input,” the source said.
There have been rumours of a feud brewing between Victoria and her daughter-in-law Nicola since she tied the knot with Brooklyn last year, but all parties have strenuously denied the speculation. The feud rumours were intensified after the budding chef chose to spend Christmas in Miami with Nicola and her family, instead of with the Beckhams at their Cotswolds home.
Sources added to the publication that Brooklyn has helped curb her fears by assuring his mum that their relationship will never falter. "Brooklyn understands his mum’s apprehensiveness over their living situation, but insisted it was just temporary, which helped alleviate her concerns,” the insider said.
“He was constantly FaceTiming and messaging his family over Christmas. He sent gifts and watched everyone open them as well as promising to spend the next festive season with them.”
Both Victoria and Nicola have been trying to dull rumours of a feud by posting more about one another on social media in recent weeks. For the actress's 28th birthday, Victoria shared a sweet picture of them both and fans even noticed that Nicola was donning a Victoria Beckham design.
Alongside the snap, she wrote: "Happy Birthday Nicola. Hope you have a lovely day. xx" Nicola replied: "Thank you so much!", with three pink heart emojis.
Victoria's husband, footballer David Beckham, also wished his daughter-in-law a happy birthday on social media. He wrote: "Happy Birthday (heart emoji) Have a lovely day @nicolaannepeltzbeckham", along side a snap of the blonde beauty.
Brooklyn also shared a sweet post gushing over his wife, writing: "Happy early birthday to the woman that changed my life. I love you so much baby and I am so lucky to be able to wake up to your gorgeous face every morning. Hope you have the most amazing birthday because you deserve the world."
