Victoria Beckham shares best ever beauty advice

Victoria Beckham has shared the best beauty advice she's ever been given

Victoria Beckham has shared the best beauty advice she's ever been given.

The 50-year-old Spice Girls star has revealed she was told to cleanse her skin regularly - not just to wash make-up off - and it's been a game-changer for her complexion admitting she now always "listens" to her skin and changes her regime to suit its needs.

She told Elle magazine: "Cleansing your skin; not just to wash off your make-up, but also to remove dirt and toxins and cleansing in the right way without stripping your skin barrier.

"I always listen to my skin. Sometimes I double cleanse; I love the lactic acid cleanser when I need a really good strong cleanse.

"But sometimes if my skin is feeling a little dry and puffy, then I like to use the oil cleanser and facial massage."

She also shared her own top tip - not to over-pluck your eyebrows - because she did it in the 1990s and now has to rely on a brown pencil to fill in the gaps.

In the interview, Victoria went on to reveal how her own beauty mistakes of the past helped inform her choices as she created her own products for her Victoria Beckham Beauty brand.

She said: "I've seen so many pictures of myself in the past, and I've been able to learn from seeing those images in my development process.

"A prime example is when I created the Lid Lustre Eyeshadow. Being on stage and wearing a sparkly eye taught me so much and it's why I was so specific about the size of the pigments and the fallout of the products.

"I've seen so many pictures where I look like I've been punched in the face on stage because the pigments have been too large.

"When I'm developing my products, I take into consideration my own experiences.' As she puts it herself: 'I am difficult to please and I never put anything out there until I truly believe it is the best in class.
"

Victoria's latest launch is a line of make-up brushes, and she had a very hands-on role in the design process.

She told British Vogue: "I spent a lot of time thinking about these brushes and what it was that I desired and couldn’t find."

Victoria explained that the brushes have all "earned their place" in her new collection, saying: "My focus is always on the ‘why’ and the brushes that have made it into this collection have earned their place and right to be there. They’re inspired by calligraphy pens."
