Victoria Beckham has revealed her husband David was "heartbroken" after their daughter Harper was recently embarrassed by her parents on the school run.
She appeared on the Armchair Expert podcast alongside host Dax Shepard to chat about her family dynamic, sharing stories and anecdotes about her children and married life.
In the episode, she reflected on what life was like for her as a child and related it to a recent experience with her youngest daughter involving dropping her off at school.
The Mirror reports that the mother-of-four said her own father, Tony Adams, used to drop her off at school in a Rolls Royce, which he was "very proud of" at the time.
"We had the Rolls Royce but because he was an electrical wholesaler he also had a van. Me and my sister used to say like 'please drop us [off] in the van'," she commented.
She continued: "I think more kids at school were being dropped off in a van and so when we were in the Rolls, we'd be like 'oh please drop us down the road'."
Although she admitted it was "a little embarrassing" at the time, she would be "proud" to get out of that Rolls at the school gates now.
Talking about Victoria's story, podcast host Dax - who is married to actress Kristen Bell and has two kids - suggested that parents often "just can't do right by [their] kids".
Victoria said: "David was having this conversation the other day when he was dropping off Harper. [...] She was like, 'Daddy can you drop me a little bit away from the school'."
She said her husband was "heartbroken" by this request, commenting: "She's our youngest daughter and he was like 'oh really, this is happening'."
Victoria added: "And then he was like 'if it's uncool that David Beckham's your dad ...' I mean let's be honest what hope do most of the other kids have."
However, later on in the podcast, she joked that Harper's embarrassment could have simply been caused by David wearing a "bad outfit" on that particular day.
