Victoria Beckham 's eldest son Brooklyn is set to officially fly the nest this weekend when he marries Nicola Peltz.
And like all mums would, it's said she's feeling a little conflicted about her baby boy being all grown up.
The 47-year-old Spice Girls star has always been incredibly close with her 23-year-old son, with him often accompanying her as her 'walker' at fashion shows.
The pop star turned fashion designer once described Brooklyn as her "perfect date" and she's always supported his passions too, once bringing him on board to photograph one of her fashion shows when he was pursuing a photography career.
A source told Closer magazine: "Victoria is extremely close to Brooklyn and - as her firstborn - they've always had a special bond.
"She's admitted that her biggest fear about him getting married is that, in a way, she's losing him, which has started to hit home in recent weeks in the build-up to the big day.
"She understands that Nicola's family will be more involved, given she's the bride and they're all in the US - not to mention the wedding is taking place at her family's home - but there's that natural insecurity that he's growing ever closer to her family.
"It's at times like this that the distance between them really stings for her."
The insider added that Victoria is struggling to come to terms with all of her children growing up and that she thinks of Brooklyn as her "best friend" as well as her eldest child.
Victoria also shares Romeo, 19, Cruz, 17, and Harper 10, with her ex-footballer husband David, 46.
Brooklyn and Nicola, 27, are set to tie the knot in a £3m ceremony at the Peltz family mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.
The guest list for the wedding is set to include a number of A-list stars, including the Spice Girls, chef Gordon Ramsay and Victoria's best pal, Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria.
Unfortunately, Brooklyn's godfather Sir Elton John won't be able to attend due to his much-delayed farewell tour clashing with the ceremony.
The Mirror has contacted Victoria's representatives for comment.
