Victoria Beckham may be Posh Spice but her fans were still left baffled by her upper-class tone as she conducted a make-up tutorial on social media.
The singer and fashion mogul, 48, took to Instagram over the weekend to showcase her new Satin Kajal Liner to her Victoria Beckham Beauty range. Victoria produced a video of her "tutorial" for her version of a smoky eye look despite not actually applying any products on herself throughout the masterclass.
Excited by her new product, she wrote on Instagram: "NEW KAJAL EYELINER!! Meet Fig, the newest addition to the @victoriabeckhambeauty. Satin Kajal Liner family and my new favourite shade for creating a modern smoky eye. The rich, matte aubergine brightens every eye colour and gives the most amazing drama! I just love it!"
However, it was not the smoky eye masterclass that got people talking on the social media platform, it was Victoria's 'posh' accent which many of her 30.2 million followers could not get their heads around. One person replied: "Sorry but tries too hard with her accent, not natural at all."
A second commented: "Hysterical put on way of talking! Check out Spice Girls videos she definitely did not sound like that. Just be yourself especially as you’re no teenager!! Sad." A third user said: "Talk normal ffs ur not posh!"
Another person added: "Strange accent, didn’t realise she was actually posh. I thought it was a joke?" A fifth follower replied: "TALK PROPERLY!!!!!!! That bloody voice is sooooo annoying."
Not everyone thought her accent was too strange. One person wrote: "I love her voice xxx Posh by name Posh by nature. Shame I didn’t date her when she was at Lanes, Epsom."
Her new beauty range comes as he fashion label racks up considerable debts, which has led to her launching a plus-size clothing line. Victoria is hoping to drum up some extra sales through her fashion line by finally opening up her collection to include styles to fit more body types.
The former Spice Girl has seen her fashion company struggle to make money ever since it was launched back in 2008. And with reports recently revealing that her fashion empire is in the red to the tune of £54 million debts, the star may be hoping her latest roll of the dice will introduce better results.
It is reported Vicky is now making clothing that will fit sizes all the way up to an 18 dress size - with off-shoulder dresses and crop tops available in the range.
