Victoria Beckham is 'so proud' of Brooklyn as he adds yet another string to his bow

Victoria Beckham gushed she is "so proud" of her eldest son Brooklyn Beckham as he shared details of his latest career venture online.

The 23-year-old has dabbled in a range of professions over the years - from photographer, to Vogue model, to wannabe professional chef - and has seemingly struggled to find his niche.

Now, Brooklyn has come up with yet another career path as he enters into the Japanese drink industry — and his famous mum seems to be his number one fan.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the 48-year-old fashion designer shared a picture of a gift she received from Brooklyn's new brand WESAKE.

The snap showed a wooden box containing four cans of Brooklyn's Sake, with Victoria writing: "So proud of you," and tagging her son.

The former Spice Girl also tagged her footballer husband David Beckham to share the love.

Explaining his new booze brand on Instagram, Brooklyn said the brand of Sake he is plugging "unites many of my different passions including my fascination with Japan."

He added: "Sake has been crafted in Japan for over 2000 years and we knew we had to honour the heritage, tradition and strong connection with Japanese culture."

Brooklyn's latest career move comes after he ditched modelling to rebrand himself as a celebrity chef, despite having no formal kitchen experience.

He launched his own online cooking show, Cookin' With Brooklyn, on Facebook and Instagram after developing a passion for it in lockdown.

Brooklyn's wife Nicola Peltz recently launched a fierce defence of his varying career choices and said he had been 'pushed into things' over the years.

Nicola said her hubby had felt "a lot of pressure to please people with his career and he didn't love it".

Her comments came after David and Victoria's eldest son has faced criticism for his cooking, with many people commenting on his videos that he is "not a chef, just a cook".

Commenting on his debut video, one viewer said: "So brilliant young cook's out there who work and study hard. Little boy Beckham has never studied or worked hard a day in his life ....sheer nepotism.."

Another added: "Photography, now 'cooking' with the vesting in their field, nepotism is a powerful tool for the famous..."

Addressing the criticism during an Instagram Live, Brooklyn agreed with the comments and said: "I am not a chef, I am a cook.

"I just absolutely love cooking and starting from the very bottom and you know, learning, I'm going to be learning every day."

Other people have been supportive of Brooklyn's cooking career, including his wife Nicola Peltz.

"SO PROUD OF YOU," she commented, while dad David added: "So so good @brooklynbeckham."
