Victoria Beckham ‘extended olive branch to end Peltz family feud’ at ‘peace summit’

Victoria Beckham has firmly squashed any semblance of a rift between herself and daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz after their recent 'peace summit'.

David Beckham and Victoria's eldest child Brooklyn, 24, tied the knot with billionaire heiress Nicola, 28, last year, and the two recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Shortly after their lavish nuptials, reports about bad blood between Victoria and Nicola surfaced, hinting their relationship had turned sour.

The Peltz and Beckham families had denied all feud allegations, but thanks to Victoria, they have now firmly squashed the rumours following their get together over Easter weekend. Victoria, 49, and David, 47, alongside Cruz, 18, and Harper, 11, flew to the US where they celebrated Brooklyn and Nicola's anniversary with their extended family.

“It was Victoria’s idea to get together – she was the one who extended the olive branch,” an insider told OK! Magazine. “With David’s encouragement, she swallowed a piece of humble pie and has realised that if she wants to maintain her close bond with Brooklyn, she has put an end to feud rumours.

“It was the perfect occasion to get everyone together for Easter and their one-year anniversary."

They continued: "Brooklyn and Nicola are so in love, and Victoria and David are in a really good place. Nicola is also really close to Harper and thinks of her as a little sister. Victoria loves being a tight-knit family, and that’s all she wants.”

Following their trip, which was promptly nicknamed the peace summit, Victoria gushed over her family on Instagram. Sharing photos from the celebrations, she wrote: “So special to be together to celebrate your 1st wedding anniversary we love you @brooklynpeltzbeckham @nicolaannepeltzbeckham @davidbeckham,” to which Nicola replied, “Today was so fun! We love you so much.”

“They all had a really fun time celebrating as a family and we’ll probably be seeing more of it now,” the source said. “Victoria has realised life is too short and family is the most important thing.”

The family pow wow comes a month after Brooklyn and Nicola jetted to Paris to support Victoria for her brand’s catwalk show. They were all smiles for pictures, with Victoria writing on Instagram, “I couldn’t do it without you, I love you all so much x #harperseven @davidbeckham @cruzbeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @nicolaannepeltzbeckham.”
