Victoria Beckham has spoken out about Brooklyn Beckham's marriage to Nicola Peltz amid rumours of an alleged feud within the family.
The 48-year-old pop star is said to have been embroiled in a heated feud with Nicola after the 27-year-old tied the knot with Victoria's son earlier this year.
Victoria has now opened up about her eldest child's relationship and said she is trying to be there to "support" the couple.
During an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, the former Spice Girl recalled going on tour while she was pregnant with Brooklyn before turning to focus on his relationship with Nicola.
Host Dax Shepard said: "Hold on a second, your son's married? Isn't he 23? How old is he?
"He's 23, yes," replied Victoria.
When asked if she is "trying to give advice" to the newlyweds, she said: "We're so close to our children, I think it's all about communication.
"You're just trying to do the best that you can as a parent and support your kids.
"You want them to be happy, hard-working, good, kind human beings.
"But ultimately, you know, the kids have got to do what they're going to do. You've just got to be there to support them and love them."
Rumours of a feud between Nicola and her mother-in-law started after the wedding back in April.
The actress had planned to wear a dress designed by Victoria for her wedding, however this fell through at the last minute and Nicola instead walked down the aisle in a custom Valentino gown.
"I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn't do it, so then I had to pick another dress," Nicola explained in an interview with Variety.
She added: "She didn't say you can't wear it; I didn’t say I didn't want to wear it. That's where it started, and then they ran with that."
Brooklyn told the publication: "I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down.
"But everyone gets along, which is good."
