Victoria Beckham has admitted that her husband has never seen her without her eyebrows drawn on, following an unfortunate incident when she was in the Spice Girls.
The 49-year-old, who is known for her passion for beauty and fashion, has confessed the first thing she does when she wakes up in the morning is apply her brow makeup.
The former pop star came clean about the truth behind her “overplucked” brows and has told how fans would be “horrified” if they saw her without her drawn on brows.
Fashion designer Victoria runs her own beauty products company, Victoria Beckham Beauty, which she spends her time designing and creating products for, alongside her team in New York.
Posh Spice has explained how she spends her days creating products that she needs for her own makeup bag – including her BabyBlade brow pencils which were born out of necessity, given the state of her own facial hair.
“Over the years my brows have been so overplucked that if you saw me without it you’d be horrified,” she told the Times.
She then confessed to the publication: “David has never seen me without my brows. They’re the first thing I do: wake up, put on the brow. Mine aren’t even, either — they’re sisters, not twins. I’m very self-conscious about the overplucking because brows change your whole face.”
She went on to tell of her horror when a make-up artist shaved her eyebrows off when she was in the Spice Girls.
“Shaving my eyebrows! When you’re 22 years old and you’re excited that you’re doing a shoot, you don’t think to say, ‘Oh, hey, how about you don’t shave my eyebrows?’ Then you get to 49 and you’re like, ‘Sh*t.’”
Victoria also revealed that she’s had laser hair removal on her brows, which seemed like a “really great” idea at the time.
Her confession came just a day after she teased a very different hairstyle during a wild night out in New York.
The fashion designer threw it back to the pixie cut she used to have way back in the Nineties, shortly after she left the Spice Girls.
At one point the former pop star sported a dark spiky look, before dying it blonde in the early Noughties. These days she rocks a longer dark haired look.
