Victoria Beckham appeared to hit back at speculation that she fell out with son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz, insisting that they’re “so close”.
The fashion designer, who has four children, Brooklyn, 23, Romeo, 20, Cruz, 17, and Harper, 11, with husband David, 47, seemingly hinted at the feud as she shared how she “supports” her brood.
Speaking on the Armchair Expert podcast, Beckham was asked by host Dax Shepard if she and David give advice to their kids.
The former Spice Girls singer shared: “We’re so close to our children, I think it’s all about communication.
“You’re just trying to do the best that you can as a parent and support your kids. You want them to be happy, hard-working, good, kind human beings.
“But ultimately, you know, the kids have got to do what they’re going to do. You’ve just got to be there to support them and love them.”
In October, Peltz hit back at speculation of a feud with her mother-in-law — but cryptically insisted “no family is perfect”.
Following her and Brooklyn’s lavish wedding in April, there had been mounting speculation of a rift between the Transformers actress and her mother-in-law.
It was believed that their relationship soured when the Bates Motel star didn’t wear a Victoria Beckham wedding dress during their nuptials, which led to claims of a rift between the newlyweds and the Beckham family.
However, Peltz has shut down rumours of a rift and revealed that there was a valid reason for her selecting a Valentino couture wedding gown instead.
She told the Sunday Times: “It’s not a feud! I keep seeing everywhere that word, ‘feud, feud, feud!’ I don’t know why they say ‘feud’? I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they’re labelling it ‘feud’?
“No family is perfect. No family.”
She added: “I think it all started, and I’ve said this before, because I didn’t end up wearing Victoria’s wedding dress. But the real truth is I really, really wanted to wear it and I thought it was so beautiful that Brooklyn’s mom got to make that for me.
“And I was really excited to wear it. And I didn’t end up wearing it.”
