Victor Wembanyama won’t play versus the Lakers in summer league

Many Los Angeles Lakers fans are looking forward to this year’s summer league, as the team will possess a number of intriguing players, including draft picks Jalen Hood-Schifino and Maxwell Lewis.

The Lakers will start summer league play next week with the California Classic on July 3 and July 5 and continue in Las Vegas on July 7.

The July 5 contest will take place against the San Antonio Spurs, and the expectation was that perhaps Victor Wembanyama, the 7-foot-3 French wunderkind, would suit up versus Los Angeles.

Unfortunately, he will not do so, and Lakers fans will undoubtedly be disappointed that they won’t get a sneak preview of him.

They will have to wait until the team’s first regular season contest versus the Spurs to watch the man that has been described as a generational talent.
