Victor Osimhen issues fresh transfer response as Mauricio Pochettino sets Chelsea demand

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is set to leave his future in the hands of president Aurelio De Laurentiis this summer. Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have all registered an interest in signing the Nigerian forward ahead of next season.

Osimhen scored 31 goals and provided a further five assists in 39 appearances in the 2022/23 campaign with Napoli setting a €150million (£129million) asking price to let him leave the club. After helping the Italian outfit to a first Serie A title in 33 years, the 24-year-old issued a firm response to speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League.

"I just want to enjoy this incredible title," Osimhen said. "I can’t wait to return to Napoli and hug the fans - I’m so happy for them."

Now, the Nigeria international has admitted he will 'go with the flow' this summer and leave his future in the hands of Napoli's president. "I don't know, the president has to decide that," Osimhen told DAZN, via 90min, on the subject of his future following Napoli's final game of the season.

"I love the people of Napoli, they have shown me so much love. For me, I don't mind, the president decides and I will just go with the flow."

According to Sky Germany, United are currently pushing the hardest to sign Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani this summer instead of the Napoli star - with Harry Kane and Rasmus Hojlund also being monitored. Reports have stated that Chelsea sent scouts to watch Osimhen a number of times last season with Napoli set to hold out for a huge transfer fee to let the 24-year-old depart the club this summer.
