Leeds United sporting director Victor Orta has opened up on his stint at Spanish outfit Elche, who the Whites face in a midseason friendly on Thursday.
Orta arrived at Elche in the summer of 2014, after previous roles at Real Valladolid, Sevilla and Zenit St Petersburg.
Although the Spaniard spent just under 18 months serving as sporting director, he still has fond memories of his time at the club.
“I was very comfortable, because of its climate, city, club, gastronomy fans, the beaches. I even lived in a stomp in a corner of the stadium," Orta told Onda Cero.

Elche were plying their trade in the second-tier of Spanish football when Orta left his post in the winter of 2015 to join Middlesbrough.
Los Franjverdes have since returned to the top-flight, although they've experienced a tumultuous season with no fewer than three different managers.
Former Sevilla and Espanyol boss Pablo Machin is the latest individual to be installed into the managerial hotseat at Elche and Orta is impressed by the appointment.
"I like him as a coach. He is methodical, a perfectionist and has a plan which he has managed to grow to the elite," the Leeds sporting director concluded.
