Victim beaten unconscious by group of men outside Nottingham city centre bar

A man was beaten unconscious by a group of men outside a Hockley bar while out having a cigarette late at night.

The 33-year-old victim was approached by a group of men while outside Wax Bar in Broad Street at about 3.35am on Sunday, April 28, 2019.

He was punched in the face, resulting in him hitting his head on the floor and suffering a cut to the back of his head.

Police have just released details of the shocking attack in an appeal for witnesses and information after the man was knocked unconscious.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "Our enquiries are ongoing including checking CCTV.

"We're appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information to call us on 101, quoting incident number 136 of April 28 2019, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
