Vicky Phelan visited a "fantastic" charity on Friday to deliver money raised by her family and friends after the Climb with Charlie event last month.
The Cervical Check campaigner shared pictures from her day out with one of her best friends after they visited the Children's Grief Centre in Limerick.
They learned how the €5,300 raised from the Charlie Bird charity climb of Croagh Patrick would impact the service, which helps young people to cope with grief.
Sharing pictures of herself with her friend Laura and the founder and staff at the charity, Vicky said on Instagram: "Today I visited the premises of the @childrensgriefcentre here in Limerick with one of my oldest friends from home, Laura, to hand over a cheque for €5,300 raised by Laura and her sisters and my Dad and Mam @gaby.kelly.397 and my sister @lynzik62 following the #climbwithcharlie event to Croagh Patrick last month.
"We met with founder Sr. Helen, chief fundraiser Carol and psychotherapist Teresa, who gave up their precious time today explaining what this money would mean to the charity, who rely on fundraising and donations to offer their services to children and young people in Limerick, Clare and Tipperary but also to children who come from further afield to avail of their unique services.
"This €5,300 raised will help the Children's Grief Centre to provide their support services to children and young people affected by loss through death, separation or divorce. The Centre provides a safe and supportive place for children and young people up to the age of 24, who are grieving.
"The Children's Grief Centre in Limerick is the ONLY dedicated grief centre open to children in the country. They are currently fundraising to build a new, purpose built centre so please, please consider fundraising for them if you have any future events coming up. They offer a fantastic service that so many more children and young people could avail of if the Centre were up and running in their new premises."
The Children's Grief Centre responded by thanking Vicky for her visit, writing: "So wonderful to have you with us today Vicky! Thank you for popping in, alongside Laura today! We are so grateful for your support and the fundraising efforts of Laura, her sisters, you Mum & Dad and your sister!"
It comes after Vicky also extended her well-wishes to Late Late Toy Show star Saoirse Ruane after she underwent major surgery.
The young Galway girl is back home after a serious operation to remove a tumour from her lung.
Vicky showed her support for Saoirse by commenting with a series of love heart emojis on a post updating followers that she was back home and recovering after the procedure.
