Vicky Pattison would 'love' post Geordie Shore achievements to be recognised

Vicky Pattison has gone on to enjoy a wide variety of television roles since leaving Geordie Shore but admits it would be "nice" to be recognised for her achievements.

The television star became known for her wild partying ways on the show and her famous catchphrases such as "tash on", entertaining millions each week.

But almost ten years after walking away from the programme, many people still judge Vicky on her wild 20s – despite her successful career.

Vicky, 35, has appeared on The Sunday Times bestsellers list and has gone on to become an in-demand presenter and panellist on shows such as This Morning and worked with a wide variety of charities.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror at the launch of Dirty Gertie's Mullet Salon in Newcastle, she said: "I was on that show for I'd say five years and it's understandable why my name is synonymous with it.

"It's the thing I've done for the longest but it would be really nice to be known for the things I've done since then.

"I've won the jungle [I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!], I was on Loose Women, I do This Morning presenting, I made an amazing documentary last year – Alcohol, My Dad and Me."

The star continued: "I work with fantastic brands, so it would be lovely to be recognised and all the charity work I do as well.

"I'd like to think I'm carving a name for myself in a slightly different space."

But while Vicky may no longer be known for her partying ways, she has no regrets about the show, explaining: "I was in my 20s, regardless of my ups and downs, I travelled, I saw the world.

"I got to meet amazing people, I'll never be too disparaging about my time on Geordie Shore and I wish everybody on it, the best – you've got to move on, and everyone can move on."

Vicky teamed up with Foxy Bingo for the world's first mullet-only salon and admits that she loves the resurgence of the once-questionable style and would consider having the chop for a "Shullet" after spotting Miley Cyrus rocking the style.

"I reckon if you're cool and trendy, you can pull it off," she said before adding: "I wouldn't mind if Ercan rocked one either, if I'm honest.

"The new one, the cool mullet that's having its like resurgence and a comeback, I think it's actually doing bits.

"Ercan has a wicked head of hair, I wouldn't kick him out of bed if he came back with a mullet one night."

  • Vicky Pattison launches the world's first-ever 'mullet-only' salon in Newcastle hosted by Foxy Bingo, inviting consumers to Dirty Gertie’s Mullet Salon for a FREE Foxy mullet haircut. The salon will be live from 4-5th March.
