Vicky Pattison welcomes adorable new rescue puppy to the family on Christmas Day

Vicky Pattison has welcomed a new four-legged addition to the family in the form of an adorable rescue puppy called Max.

The Geordie Shore star celebrated her first Christmas as a family of four with fiancé Ercan Ramadan, their dog Milo and the new pup after embarking on a 12-hour trip to pick Max up from Many Tears Animal Rescue shelter in South Wales. Vicky, 35, shared some heartwarming snaps on Instagram in front of the Christmas tree, with her and Ercan dressed in matching pyjamas and their dogs kitted out in Christmas jumpers.

The star wrote: "So I know you've all been dying for a picture of our baby max but honestly... it wasn't exactly easy! Our house is complete chaos and I imagine it's going to be that way for awhile with our two cheeky boys but how much I love them more than makes up for it.

"It was about a 12 hour round trip yesterday to collect our baby and his big brother Milo was honestly so sooooo good all the way there and all the way back - I couldn't be prouder of him," she added. "Thank you @manytearsrescue for trusting us with this beautiful responsibility of being this little boy's mummy and daddy and I promise he is going to know nothing but love for the rest of his life.

"Visiting @manytearsrescue yesterday was special for me and I will be posting so much more over the next couple of days about the amazing work they do there - but for now, I will leave you with these pictures of my family... and just say - I couldn't be prouder or more grateful," Vicky finished the sweet post.

On Christmas Eve, the star also shared a powerful message with her Instagram followers about capturing memories over the festive period. Vicky said that a message she had seen about appearing in Christmas photos had "really got me thinking" as she urged fans to put any confidence issues aside.

"Over the years I can't tell you how many times I've said 'oh don't get me in the picture I look terrible' or 'omg, look at the state of me, don't post that!' And I think now about all the beautiful family moments I could have been a part of had I just not been so self conscious or so fixated on all of the wrong things," she wrote.

"I have always, ALWAYS been happiest with a bit of meat on my bones, fork in hand and surrounded by people I love the most... And that's what Christmas is all about... not looking perfect in a picture.

"It might seem frivolous now to put so much gravity on a photograph - but that snapshot of that beautiful family moment will be there forever, even when memories fade and those we loved aren't around anymore. And not one single person who treasures that photo will care if you were at your 'goal weight' or not," Vicky insisted. "So happy Christmas Eve everyone... and take the picture."
