Vicky Pattison takes freezing plunge in tiny bikini as she's supported over honest message

Vicky Pattison appeared to be smiling through gritted teeth as she stripped to her bikini to take a freezing plunge as part of an honest message to her fans. The former Geordie Shore star took to Instagram with a snap of herself sporting a black two-piece and a beanie hat as she stood in an ice bath.

The tanned TV star showed off her incredible figure as she flexed her muscles while taking on the invigorating task but Vicky's post wasn't just about her looking fabulous in a bikini as the following images showed her emotional and in tears before taking on some physical exercise and getting some vitamin D in the sun.

"Over the last couple of weeks I'd made no secret of the fact that I've been struggling a little bit with my anxiety- more so than ever it feels like my inner critic is determined to control me & make me believe all the horrible things it tries to convince me of," the 35-year-old started the caption of her post.

"I have received so many lovely messages of support from you all- some of you even sharing your own experiences & making me feel less alone & afraid," she continued. "I can't tell you I'm cured after a week in the woods- I wish I could- we could all just book lovely staycations, go on some nice walks, chill out & VOILA! Bobs your uncle, Fannie's your aunt & Keith is your long lost cousin from Perth: ANXIETY GONE [crying laughing emoji]. But things don't work like that."

"I'm certainly feeling better after the rest & downtime- abit of peace & quiet with my boys was precisely what the doctor ordered but I think this time it took more than some good night's sleep to allow the sunlight through the clouds.

"I needed to challenge myself, to push myself, to put myself in situations that made me abit nervous, that caused my inner critic to roar 'YOU CAN'T DO THIS'... just so I could roar back 'YES I F**KING CAN!' Because I will not be controlled by that tiny, destructive voice in my head that is trying to keep me small. And neither should you. There is a whole wide world of class people & amazing opportunities just waiting for us if we only go out there & believe we are deserving of it all."

Sharing how she had to overcome her "anxieties and fears", the former I'm A Celebrity Queen of the jungle went on to tell her loyal followers: "Whatever it is that voice is telling you- whether it's saying you can't get the promotion, you can't give that talk, you can't start that new business or maybe it's just telling you that you can't leave the house today... try your very best to challenge that narrative and start your own one! With you as the kick-a*s main character who is sassy, strong & doesn't give a shit what that poxy little inner critic thinks."

Former Loose Women star Andrea McLean was among the firs tot respond to the post, writing: "Bless you. Sending you a squeeze." The first-ever winter Love Island winner Paige Turley also said: "Love this Vicky.. main character vibes always. Sending u lots of love!!!"
