Vicky Pattison reveals the raw truth about why life in her 30s is better than her 20s

Reality star Vicky Pattison has told how her life has changed for the better now she's in her 30s.

Vicky, who shot to fame starring in the raucous MTV show Geordie Shore from 2011 to 2014 followed by the dating show Ex on the Beach, is now 34.

And in a reflective Instagram post she told fans that her 24-year-old self was 'lost, lonely and still had so much growing up to do.'

Vicky, who last year became a dog parent to adorable rescue puppy Milo, told her 4.9M followers: 'Bar hopping, transient friendships, disordered eating, crippling self doubt, bad boyfriends and even worse decisions have been replaced by early nights, self love, meaningful relationships, a healthy respect for myself and a real passion for what life is actually about."

Vicky, who is loved-up with her boyfriend of three years Ercan Ramadan, wrote thoughtfully: "Do I miss my 20's?! In a word.. No.

"Don't get me wrong, there are some things associated with that time in my life that I wouldn't mind still having...collagen in my face for example? Or a fast metabolism? Or the ability to have more than one drink without it taking a week to recover.

But across the board the joys and self discoveries that have come with being in my 30's have been infinitely better than anything I experienced in my 20's."

The star, who won I'm a Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of Here! in 2015 and took part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins last year, says her 24-something self would probably think 34-year-old Vicky was 'boring' - but she's okay with that.

"24 year old me would probably hate 34 year old me- she'd think I was boring, old and probably abit pale (I mean I think I'm still tanned but I was RADIOACTIVE back then )," she said with a laughing emoji.

"24 year old me wouldn't understand the things that 34 year old me craves- consistency, peace and contentment.

"But that's ok, because 24 year old me was lost, lonely and still had so much growing up to do and so many mistakes to make. And that's what your 20's are for."

Speaking about the contrast these days compared to her 20s, she typed: "I mean honestly I think my biggest fear back then was that I wouldn't know every doorman in town by name or that I couldn't go out four times a week with at least 10 pals.

"Now I know my Amazon delivery drivers name and if I want to see my mates we have to make plans at least three months in advance."

She added: "I think what I'm trying to say is If you're feeling fearful of getting older or worrying that the 'best years' of your life are already behind you - let me reassure you that all your years can be 'the best years' if you continue to embrace life, grow and evolve.

"Getting older is a privilege and we need to be grateful for the opportunity to experience different periods in our life.

"As someone who has lost people who still had so much life to live- I will never take a single day for granted and always endeavour to live in a way that honours them."

Vicky signed off by saying: "So instead of worrying about getting older- be proud of the person you're becoming, grateful for the lessons you've learned and hopeful that the future will being you more love, light and blessings."
