Geordie Shore 's Vicky Pattison and TOWIE's Chloe Brockett bonded over the "fake" images they created to land their coveted reality show roles.
The ladies chatted openly and honestly about their relationships with their respective shows and gave fans a fascinating insight into how things actually work behind the scenes of reality shows.
Chloe, 21, who joined the ITVBe show in 2019, laughed as she said TOWIE bosses had approached her after she posed up in Paris in designer clobber that she'd actually left the labels in so she could return it all when she got back.
And it's something Vicky could identify with.
Chloe confessed on Vicky's podcast The Secret To : "It couldn't have come at a better time because I had basically quit my job when I was 17, I was doing temping in offices for a few months and I got messaged three days after my 18th birthday.
"I thought that the message was fake and seemed a bit suspicious but they said they were Lime Pictures and wanted to chat with me.
"Basically what had happened, I always laugh, I had no money at all - didn't have money, didn't have a job - and my mum had paid for me to go to Paris for my birthday.
"I was temping and I had no money, I bought all these clothes and left the labels in, was wearing all these outfits in Paris like 'yeah I'm living my best life', then was taking them back after.
"So TOWIE messaged like 'who is this girl? She's living her best life', and I was like 'Oh you have no idea'."
She laughed that the girl in the pictures "wasn't real".
Vicky said Chloe wasn't the first person to fall into the trap of creating an unrealistic image of themselves on social media.
"It's very easily done," she said.
Vicky, 34, who joined Geordie Shore back in 2011, told her: "I remember when you say all this when we first got started on Geordie Shore, I was probably a bit older than you, like 22, but we had to... I remember having to beg, steal and borrow to get the clothes to go on Geordie Shore.
"I remember my mam taking me out, I remember all the lasses having a whip round for me so I could get some new extensions, I remember honestly being so maxed out in my overdraft, you know all these things just to create this image of myself when I went on the show."
Vicky said years later she managed to really find who she is and is more happy and comfortable in her own skin now than she ever has been.
