Vicky Pattison will open up about her alcoholism battle in a new documentary for Channel 4, titled Vicky Pattison: My Dad, Alcohol and Me.
The hard-hitting documentary will focus on Vicky's dad John's battle with alcohol and whether or not there is a genetic link to involved in alcoholism.
We all know and love Vicky for her boozy antics from when she was catapulted to fame downing drinks and tucking into kebabs on Geordie Shore.
Vicky has watched herself drink copious amounts of alcohol on the show and has admitted that she doesn't like who she is when she's had too much to drink.
"As many people know by now, I have always been extremely honest about my life, but this is a story I’ve been wanting to tell for years and I finally feel ready," she said.
"I’m hoping to find answers to some questions I’ve been asking for my entire life and I hope it will go on to help thousands of others too. It’s been wonderful working with Firecracker and Channel 4 on a project which that is so close to my heart.”
Vicky has hidden the real story behind her complicated love-hate relationship with alcohol, but fans will get a real look into it when the documentary airs on Channel 4 later this year.
The programme will see the TV star and author undergo a medical screening to see if her own lifestyle has done irreparable damage to her body.
She is keen to find out as much as she can in order to keep herself healthy while discussing the devastating impact addiction and alcohol has had on her and her loved ones.
While growing up her dad was a functioning alcoholic and could not stop drinking, even for his daughter.
Since the days of drinking with pals for the popular TV show, Vicky has given her lifestyle a complete overhaul and has changed public perception of her too.
She is no longer known as the Geordie Shore party girl because these days she's more widely known for being a Sunday Times bestselling author, podcast host, TV presenter and a social media influencer.
Geordie Shore was a hit in the early 2010s, gaining a cult following of fans who enjoyed keeping up to date with cast that comprised of young people from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
The group of young people all lived together in a shared house, working all day and partying all night.
Launching the careers of many of its cast members, the MTV programme is responsible for the success of Charlotte Crosby, Gaz Beadle, Chloe Ferry and Holly Hagan, as well as Vicky Pattison.
