Nottingham actress Vicky McClure has spoken about filming scenes around Nottingham for new ITV thriller, Without Sin. The show will air on December 29 on ITVX.
Without Sin is a four-part psychological thriller starring the Line of Duty actress and This is England star Johnny Harris. It tells the story of the relationship which develops between a grieving mother, played by Vicky, and the man she believes murdered her teenage daughter.
The show, which is filmed in various locations around the county, has been written by Nottingham-born Frances Poletti. It has been co-produced by Build Your Own Films, which is Vicky and her partner Jonny Owen's production company.

Without Sin is filled with instantly recognisable Nottingham landmarks such as Victoria Centre Market, Cornerhouse and Langtrys pub. Vicky highlighted that she felt incredibly proud of everyone involved and seeing the locations appear on an ITV show. She said Nottingham is more than capable of producing "high-end television dramas".
She said: "Having the use of places like the Metronome, Confetti, the City Council, workshops and all the different organisations and people it took to make this happen just proved it is completely doable. This city is equipped to make really high-end television drama which is exactly what I wanted to showcase.
"We had a low loader going on a loop around Victoria Centre one day which was amazing. There are locations that we use that meant a lot to me like the market in the centre which is obviously in a difficult place now. So to be able to put that on screen was brilliant and there are lots of other iconic spots such as Market Square."
She added: "I want the people of Nottingham to see their city in bloom on the telly so we've made that happen and I'm really proud of everyone involved." Despite filming in busy locations, Vicky said that the people of Nottingham were curious about what was happening and came out to watch some of the scenes.
"A lot of the scenes were inside buildings but there was one that took place on the market by Left Lion on a busy day. People like to come and watch and I want them to so I don't want them to feel like they are pushed out of that. People do get a kick out of it," she said.
"We had units based at Notts County one day so there were so many moments for me. I feel like the city was completely behind us. We did some shooting in Mansfield and everyone was just a joy."
This is England star Johnny travelled up to Nottingham from London to film scenes for the show. He was given a tour of the city by Vicky, including one of the most important places to stop in the Midlands, Bird's Bakery.
He said: "Vicky is my closest friend in life and her family is like mine. It's strange when you have to come film in your best mate's hometown but I got a tour of all the places I need to know about and visit on my first day."
Vicky added: "I showed him Bird's Bakery as you can't get it outside of the Midlands."
Vicky has a new series coming out that showcases her work with her dementia choir. The choir, which is composed of singers with Alzheimer's and dementia, performed at the Splendour Festival in July.
She said: "I've got the new series of the dementia choir and I can't wait for people to meet some of our new members and share the power of music. The choir are doing brilliantly and we have festival requests coming out of our ears so we are constantly on a bus to somewhere. It's really blown up and I'm immensely proud of what is happening with the charity.
"I also have a show for ITV called My Grandad's War where I retrace my grandad's steps when he was in the navy and landed on the beaches at Normandy. It's a really powerful show so I'm looking forward to finishing that up and getting it ready or people to watch."
When it comes to Line of Duty, unfortunately, there are no updates - although Vicky shared that the cast does regularly meet up. Sadly fans will have to wait for any news.
"We all met up a few weeks ago as it was the 10-year anniversary and we wanted to celebrate that with a few drinks and a trip down memory lane. It's such an amazing show to be a part of - but what's happening next, I don't know," she said.
