Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a powerful message during her visit to the Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ in Detroit on Sunday. Addressing the congregation, Harris emphasized the importance of the upcoming election and its impact on future generations.
Quoting a line from the prophet Jeremiah, Harris reminded the audience of God's plans for good and hope for the future. She stressed that it is not enough to simply believe in these plans but that action is required to make them a reality.
“We must act on the plans He has in store for us. We must make them real through our works, in our daily choices, in service to our communities, and in our democracy,” Harris stated.
During her visit to Michigan, a crucial battleground state, Harris made multiple stops in the Detroit area before heading to East Lansing for a rally. Her presence in Michigan underscores the significance of the state in the upcoming election.
