Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to visit Houston on Wednesday to speak at an event hosted by a Black sorority and headline a fundraiser in the city. This visit comes as Harris is nearing a decision on her running mate, with the announcement expected to be made on Tuesday. Following the announcement, Harris and her pick will kick off their campaign with a rally in Philadelphia, before traveling to key battleground states including Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump is also planning to make a public appearance on Wednesday. He is set to participate in an interview at the National Association of Black Journalists convention and will later hold a rally in Pennsylvania, another crucial battleground state. This rally in Harrisburg will mark Trump's first visit to Pennsylvania since the recent attempt on his life earlier this month.
