Vice President Kamala Harris is set to make campaign stops in Milwaukee, La Crosse, and Green Bay, Wisconsin on Thursday as part of her ongoing campaign efforts across Blue Wall states. A campaign official confirmed the itinerary.
Her first stop will be at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she plans to visit a business class on campus. During her visit, Harris will outline her economic agenda and engage with students to discuss key issues.
Following her visit to Milwaukee, the vice president will head to La Crosse, where she will hold a rally at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The rally aims to connect with young voters and energize support for her campaign.
Concluding her day, Harris will host another rally in Green Bay, joined by prominent Wisconsin leaders. The campaign is emphasizing its ground game in the state, boasting a team of over 250 coordinated staffers and more than 50 offices spread across Wisconsin.
Wisconsin holds significant importance in the upcoming election, as it, along with Michigan and Pennsylvania, has been a focal point for both Harris and former President Donald Trump. In the 2016 election, Trump secured victory by winning all three states with a narrow margin of approximately 80,000 votes. However, in the 2020 election, President Joe Biden managed to reclaim these states, winning by a combined margin of around 260,000 votes, ultimately securing the presidency.
