Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz are set to conclude their campaign efforts in a battleground state with a rally in Las Vegas, Nevada, scheduled for later today.
The rally, to be held at the University of Las Vegas, follows an endorsement from the Culinary Union, Nevada’s largest labor union representing 60,000 workers statewide.
Tillie Torres, a local Clark County teacher with 24 years of experience and a cancer survivor, will introduce Harris and Walz. Torres reportedly had her student loans forgiven under the Biden-Harris administration.
Joining the lineup of speakers at the event are Rep. Steven Horsford, Rep. Susie Lee, Rep. Dina Titus, Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, and Sen. Jacky Rosen. DJ D-Nice will provide entertainment during the rally.
Former Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak and League of United Latin American Citizens President Roman Palomares are also expected to attend. LULAC's political arm endorsed the Harris-Walz ticket on Friday, marking the first time the civil rights organization has endorsed a presidential candidate in its nearly 100-year history.
