Vice President JD Vance is set to embark on his first international trip as vice president next week. He will be attending the AI Action Summit in Paris and the Munich Security Conference in Germany, as per a reliable source.
The AI Action Summit is scheduled to be held at the Grand Palais on February 10 and 11. It is common for United States vice presidents to participate in the Munich Security Conference, which is taking place this year from February 14 to 16.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris has previously spoken at the Munich Security Conference, notably in February 2022, just before Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Vance, who has expressed opposition to ongoing federal aid to Ukraine, believes that Ukraine has the capability to produce the necessary weapons to secure victory in the conflict.
Vice President Mike Pence has also made appearances at the Munich conference in both 2017 and 2019.
The Washington Post was the first to report on Vance's upcoming travel plans to Munich and Paris.
