Vice President Kamala Harris is maintaining support from President Joe Biden's 2020 coalition among young and Black voters in Georgia, based on initial exit poll results. However, there has been a notable shift among political independents in the Peach State, with former President Donald Trump now favored over Harris.

Among Black Georgia voters, approximately 86% indicated they voted for Harris, while around 60% of voters under 30 years old also supported her. These figures are in line with Biden's numbers from the previous election.

In contrast to 2020, independent voters in Georgia are now showing a preference for Trump, with a slight majority indicating their support for the former president. Suburban voters remain evenly divided, similar to the previous election where Biden secured a slight majority among political independents.

White voters without a college degree, who overwhelmingly supported Trump in 2020, continue to predominantly back him over Harris, with approximately 80% choosing Trump.
