Vice President Harris' Campaign Reserves Record 0M For Ads

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has announced a significant investment in television and digital advertising leading up to November’s election. The campaign has reserved a total of $370 million for advertising, marking it as the largest-ever digital ad buy in US political history.

Of the total amount, $200 million will be allocated towards digital ads, while $170 million will go towards traditional television spots. This move reflects the growing importance of reaching voters online and on their phones in modern political campaigns.

The campaign's strategy involves aggressively defining Vice President Harris early on to the voters who will play a crucial role in deciding the election. The goal is to prevent any potential breakthrough by the opposition, particularly former President Trump.

By reserving ad space early, the campaign aims to secure prime placements during highly-rated programs, including sports and entertainment shows. Notably, the campaign is also advertising on Fox News, with a focus on daytime programming to reach a more moderate audience.

Specific ad placements have already been secured, including spots during the season premieres of popular shows like “Grey’s Anatomy” and the “Golden Bachelorette.”

The campaign highlighted that the current ad buys represent a significant increase compared to four years ago. For instance, the investment in Pennsylvania has doubled the 2020 Biden campaign purchase, while Georgia and Nevada are seeing four times and six times more investment, respectively.
