Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz made their first joint appearance at a rally in Philadelphia, marking the beginning of their campaign journey across the electoral map.
Tim Walz, a former educator, is currently serving his second term as the Governor of Minnesota and also holds the position of chair of the Democratic Governors Association. In his speech, he is expected to draw upon his personal background to connect with voters, many of whom may be hearing about him for the first time.
Prior to his role as governor, Walz spent 12 years in Congress representing a conservative-leaning rural district. This district, both before and after his tenure, has predominantly been under Republican influence.
