Vic truck driver granted bail over crash

A man charged with dangerous driving after his truck ploughed into a Melbourne traffic light, injuring five people, has been granted bail.

Frank Rogers, 64, faced the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Saturday charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing injury, following the incident in Southbank on Thursday.

He applied for bail and it was granted.

Four men and a woman, all believed to be aged in their 20s to 30s, were injured in the crash and taken to hospital, including two who were critically injured.

Rogers is due to face court again on September 27.
