Two Victorian police officers have been charged over a shooting in regional Victoria two years ago that left two people injured.
A 42-year-old first constable and a 50-year-old leading senior constable have been charged with three counts of conduct endangering life and three counts of conduct endangering serious injury.
The incident occurred on June 23, 2020 in the town of Elphinstone during an intercept on Harmony Way.
The officers allegedly fired shots at a vehicle, causing the driver and one passenger to sustain minor gunshot wounds.
Professional Standards Command detectives laid charges following an internal investigation.
The officers are due to appear in a magistrates court at a later date.
