Police are investigating after reports a grave was disturbed at a Melbourne cemetery.
Investigators were called to a cemetery in Footscray at 11am on Tuesday.
The mausoleum section of the cemetery was closed off with police tape as detectives, with the help of the State Emergency Service, searched the area.
The Herald Sun is reporting a head was stolen from a casket, but police would not confirm that was the case.
Instead ,Victoria Police confirmed officers attended the scene and an investigation is underway.
