A 'suspicious object' found in Co Tyrone has been declared as a 'viable pipe bomb type device'.
The security alert in the Millburn Close area of Cookstown on Friday afternoon has now ended, police have confirmed.
Earlier, homes in the area were evacuated and motorists were asked to avoid the area.

Police and Ammunition Technical Officers attended the scene following the discovery of a suspicious object shortly after midday. After examination, this was found to be a viable pipe-bomb type device.
PSNI Detective Inspector Michael Winters said: “Cordons have now been lifted and residents who were evacuated from their homes have been able to return. Enquiries are continuing and we would like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding during this time.
“Anyone with any information about the incident or who may be able to help with the investigation, is asked to call police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 858 28/10/22, or to submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
