The Kansas City Chiefs enter today’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers on a winning streak and having a former star hit the field for them for the first time since 2018.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce spoke proudly of Kareem Hunt’s return during Friday’s press conference.
“My brother from another, man, (Hunt), a good old northeast Ohio ball player right there. He plays the game right, and he really is a good friend of mine,” said Kelce. “He’s a great guy outside of everything that happened; I’ve always kind of had it in the back of my mind. I really hope he gets another chance, not only here but another chance in the league to start, and sure enough, he got that chance.”
Hunt spent the last five seasons with the Cleveland Browns and was unsigned in the offseason. He ended last season with 135 carries for 411 yards and nine touchdowns in 15 games.
“He’s flying around, man. He looks like Kareem Hunt,” said Kelce.”exciting.”
At one point, today’s game for Hunt didn’t seem possible. Chiefs fans can finally see the former draft pick with his original team attempting to rewrite his story.
