"Very picky" Nikola Katic is thought to be holding out for a dream transfer return to Rangers.
Reports earlier this month revealed the centre-back is desperate to sign for Rangers for a second time and believes he can help Philippe Clement through his defensive injury issues.
Katic, 28, is widely expected to leave current club Zurich this month but his manager has conceded time is running out quickly to arrange a transfer exit.
Boss Ricardo Moniz told Reprezentacija: “He is very picky. He has one drawback, his time is running out, and he doesn't train."
Sporting director Milos Malenovic previously stated of the defender: “I think that is completely understandable. It is true that we are not the final destination for many players in Switzerland.
“I think that is also logical. We promised him (Katic) in the summer that he would have a chance of moving in the winter rather than in the summer.”

Reports in Switzerland suggest Rangers do have an interest in Katic but it is unclear whether there is any desire to re-sign the defender from Ibrox chiefs.
A source close to the player said earlier this month: “We’ve had nothing concrete yet but we’ve seen some stories in the media and of course, Niko would like it a lot if he could return to Rangers.
“We are currently in negotiations with some clubs, one also from England. But if Rangers knock on the door, that would be the priority for Nikola.
"He still has 18 months remaining on his contract in Zurich. But If it is meant for him to return to Rangers, he will be there.”
