Getting a talented wide receiver early in the NFL draft should be a priortiy for the Minnesota Vikings. Outside identifying your quarterback of the future, wide receiver is the top need for the Vikings.
Mike Renner of Pro Football Focus has a similar thought process. In his latest mock draft, he sent the Vikings USC wide receiver Jordan Addison.
The Vikings need a route winner across from Justin Jefferson who can make defenses pay when they put all their attention toward the star receiver. Addison is precisely that.
The term route winner is a great way to describe Addison. He is best from the slot where he can win with his quickness, savvy and nuance. Addison can play on the outside, but he is at his best when able to play inside.
Would this be the best route for the Vikings? That is arguable, but Addison is one of the safest prospects in this draft class.
