The meticulous preparation of the 5-kilometer cross-country path includes deep ground work, sand application, and drainage enhancements to ensure the safety and consistency of the track for both horses and riders.

Pontoon bridges have been tested to facilitate horse crossings over the Grand Canal during the cross-country event. Various water obstacles, including a newly designed pond shaped like the royal lily, symbolizing French monarchy, will add to the challenge.

The integration of sports and culture is a key focus, with organizers aiming to showcase French heritage through the event. The modern pentathlon events, encompassing swimming, fencing, riding, running, and shooting, will also take place in the picturesque gardens of the Versailles Palace.

Versailles Palace President highlights the significance of horses in the palace's history and art, emphasizing the harmonious blend of tradition and modern sport in this unique setting.

The palace will remain open to the public throughout the Games, offering visitors a chance to witness this historic event in a truly remarkable setting.
