Vernon Kay has revealed a secret you might not know about the This Morning set.
The presenter appeared on the ITV daytime show this morning alongside Rochelle Humes, standing in for Phillip Schofield, who is currently isolating at home after testing positive for Covid.
And following a discussion with his co-host and in studio guest Gyles Brandreth about David Beckham's revelation that Victoria Beckham has only eaten a select type of food for the last 20 years, Vernon shared a little known fact about the show.
During their discussion, Vernon said he enjoyed a "stereotypical breakfast" of vegetables and poultry.
"Veg and poultry? At breakfast?" Gyles quizzed as he puzzled over Vernon's food choice.
He replied: "Yeah yeah because your stomach doesn't know it's breakfast time, feed me some carbs and proteins."
However, Gyles disagreed as he added: "I say your stomach does know it's breakfast time."
"Whatever floats your boat! We've got cake a bit later on!" Rochelle said as she discussed what was coming up on the show.
Revealing a show secret, Vernon said: "At least we've got plastic fruit!" as Rochelle replied: "You never know when you might need it."
It comes after Phillip Schofield shared something big about This Morning studio backdrop.
As he and co-host Holly Willoughby presented Spin To Win a few weeks back, the guest told the hosts how "sunny" it was where they live. Holly gestured to the studio window behind as she told Phil: "Look out the window, Phil, it's beautiful out there!"
Phil then added: "Should have done that, shouldn't I? So silly the fact that it was recorded about four years ago but there we go."
Phillip is currently at home isolating after testing positive for Covid, but he did phone into the studio yesterday to see how his replacement - Alison Hammond - was doing with Rochelle.
Alison even made a savage dig at Phil as she presented the programme alongside the former Saturdays singer.
As they opened the show, Rochelle admitted it was "a little bit unfortunate" that Phillip couldn't be there, as Alison added: "Poor Phil can't be in the studio today - but don't worry he might be at home but he can be with us right now."
He then appeared on screen showing off his positive Covid test.
