An ITV film crew is due in Darlington this week to film scenes for Series 12 of hit detective show Vera - but fans will have to reschedule their plans if they're to catch a glimpse of the cast.
Darlington Town Hall is the latest North East back drop to make an appearance in the popular crime drama. And fans are already feeling the buzz as they hope to catch a glimpse of filming and are preparing to head to the town this Tuesday.
However, there has been a chance to the schedule which will see anyone hoping to head down needing to set their alarm a few hours earlier. The production crew are now set to be at the Town Hall at 8am rather than 1.30pm, as previously reported.
A Darlington Council spokeswoman said: "The production team will now be filming from 8am on Tuesday and not 1.30pm. We ask that anyone coming to get a sneak peek behind the scenes or to catch a glimpse of Vera to be respectful of the filming process and to be patient.
"The team will be filming on the forecourt to the front of the Town Hall as well as inside the Civic Reception."
Viewers are still waiting to find out what happens in the rest of series 11 as two episodes are still to air. But Vera bosses are wasting no time in getting going with the next run of the much loved drama, based on the books penned by Ann Cleeves.
The ITV crew has already been spotted at locations in Northumberland, including Morpeth and Amble, as they film for the show's 12th series. Oscar nominee and BAFTA winner Brenda Blethyn has been donning the iconic bucket hat for more than a decade now and the show has showcased some of the North East's most picturesque locations in that time to viewers across the world.
The production team is set to be filming in Darlington from 8am on Tuesday, April 12.
