Vehicle hit pedestrian near a bus stop, woman in hospital: police

A pedestrian has been taken to the emergency department after a vehicle allegedly hit her in Holt.

Emergency services were called to the Kippax shops about 3pm with reports of an incident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

The incident occurred near a bus stop on Hardwick Crescent.

The road was closed between Flack Street and Kippax Place for a short time. Traffic is moving slowly in the area.

An ACT Policing spokesperson said a woman was being treated in hospital and no arrests had been made in relation to the incident.

An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokesperson said police and firefighters were still at the scene as of 3.30pm.
