Delyth, the owner and chef of The Greenery Kitchen, took to Instagram to announce the news and explained that the pandemic had affected the business.

"We are leaving Cardiff Market! (I'm loudly crying as I write this) The pandemic hit us hard and it's been difficult for every single one of us, especially small businesses."

She also explained how their lease in the market is ending at the end of March and that now is the right time to move on.

She said: "It's not been an easy decision and I love my little green kitchen dearly, but it's time to move on as our lease is ending at the end of March and there are other projects and aspirations I'd like to pursue."

Delyth started out working for the plant-based restaurant and cocktail bar Milgi before taking over their kitchen in the market and has spent five years working in the market overall.

She said: "It's the most incredible place and I'm so lucky to have been a part of something so special to Cardiff. There's no place like it... A huge huge thank you (I'm now ugly crying as I type this) you guys have been incredible and believed in me."

The Greenery Kitchen's last day in Cardiff Market will be Saturday, March, 26. It comes as the market welcomed new Japanese street food vendor Tokyo Nights, you can read our review here.
