Outcast Vasilis Barkas has ended his Celtic nightmare with a loan move to Utrecht.
The 28-year-old has failed to hold down a regular spot in the Parkhead starting line-up after following a £5million move from AEK Athens in the summer of 2020.
Under Ange Postecoglou the stopper barely featured and slipped down the pecking order to third choice at Celtic Park with Joe Hart and Scott Bain holding the top two positions.
But Barkas will now have a chance to revive his career in the Eredivisie on a temporary deal.
FC Utrecht Technical Director Jordy Zuida was delighted to bring in the recruit from Celtic.
He told the club website: "We are very pleased that this has been achieved with Vasilis Barkas.
"Vasilis is a big and athletic goalkeeper. He has good reflexes, rules in the air in the box, stands his ground in one-on-one duels and has charisma.
"Vasilis is also an experienced keeper, who has played under the bar at top clubs in Greece and Scotland and has played the necessary international matches with Greece.
"He gives our team an absolute boost.”
The flop remains contract at Celtic Park until 2026.
