Vanessa Feltz's ex fiancé Ben Ofoedu claims he's homeless after getting dumped for cheating

Ben Ofoedu, the ex fiancé of TV star Vanessa Feltz, 60, claims he is now homeless after he was booted out of their home following their split. The pair, who were together for 16 years, broke up recently after Ben confessed to cheating with an older woman in Ibiza while Vanessa was at home.

He also admitted to secretly flirting over text with a woman who is said to be a fan of his pop band, Phats and Small, as reported by the Mirror. He also is said to have betrayed Vanessa's trust once more by flirting with a woman he met at a Butlin's holiday camp.

The cheating scandals come just days after the duo announced their split on Sunday (Feb 5). Taking to Instagram at the time, Vanessa posted a video to followers sharing the news.

"Well, I haven’t been on Instagram for three weeks and that’s because my relationship with Ben is over after 16 years and I honestly didn’t know what to say to you on Instagram. But now it’s clear that it’s over, and I really do feel that once the trust in a relationship is gone you really can’t get it back, and that’s what I’d tell anyone else to do."

She added: "So I just wanted to say, obviously I feel incredibly sad, and I’m pretty disappointed and shocked and all those horrible things. But also full of resolve, because I’m not going to let this defeat me.

"I’m so glad to be living longer then my mum did. She died at 57 and I’m going to be 61 next month. So I feel very grateful to be alive and I want to carry on feeling that way and I want to celebrate and I want to find fun and laughter anywhere I can and I know it’s not going to be easy but I’m absolutely determined to do it."

Meanwhile, taking to his own Instagram Story, Ben, 50, simply uploaded a picture of a large broken heart emoji. Vanessa and Ben met in 2005 after Vanessa’s divorce from surgeon Michael Kurer in 2000.

Speaking to the Mirror, the singer revealed he had intercourse with the older woman in Ibiza three times behind Vanessa's back and kept his infidelity a secret for months. After a distraught eventually Vanessa found out, she eventually forgave him - having been cheated on before by her ex husband Michael Krurer.

The couple then kept the betrayal secret for eight years, with them only coming to light recently. Ashamed, Ben said: “I’ve broken her trust. She gave me another chance. I’ve gone and destroyed that.”

His naughty antics were the last straw for mum-of-two Vanessa, who told Ben to leave their £3.5million north London home. “So many people have been hurt, not just Vanessa. I was so close to her grandchildren, her daughters, their husbands. We’re a close knit family. My family have been appalled by it as well. There’s been a lot of pain." He added.

“Vanessa saw the messages,” he told. “I was sex texting somebody. It was the last straw. It’s well documented that Vanessa’s been hurt before in marriage, by infidelity, and she couldn’t take anymore.”

“The sexting came about from a woman that was following me on Instagram. She started complimenting me and we built a friendship. She first messaged about nine months ago. We’d message once a week, then twice, three times a week, then a nude.

"I never sent one back. She said ‘Oops, sorry’. I should have blocked her but I didn’t. I said ‘It doesn’t matter’. She asked me what I thought and I didn’t answer. A week later another one came through. Then we’d sent flirty messages back and forth.

"When you’re in a relationship you shouldn’t be talking to someone who your other half doesn’t know about. I can’t justify it, I knew I was in the wrong. I felt guilty but it was a light hearted relief and distraction which turned into a monster and destroyed my life.”

Ben says he has been doing lots of soul searching since Vanessa split with him. "I don’t know why I did it,” he said. “Someone will tell me one day. I’m still processing it. It’s still fresh.

"I should have got some help after the first dalliance. I knew there was an insecurity. But I papered over the cracks and if you don’t tackle something it reared its head. I cheated because I was insecure."
