Vanessa Feltz’s ex Ben Ofoedu 'quits' social media over brutal trolling after split

Vanessa Feltz’s ex-partner Ben Ofoedu has "quit" social media after being trolled by fans over their acrynomious split.

It comes as the TV personality allegedly found out about Ben's infidelity on Christmas Day, which put an end to their 16-year-long relationship.

The family were opening presents and having “a lovely time” when messages revealing Ben’s betrayal were sent to Vanessa’s daughter Allegra via Instagram , she has said.

Although the messages were anonymous, Allegra said there was enough detail in them to know the accusations were true.

She then had to make the decision to tell her mum the heart-breaking news during what should have been one of the family’s happiest days of the year.

Following the public breakup, fans of the This Morning presenter dubbed Ben as ‘disrespectful’ for seeming to ‘ignore’ their split during his recent social posts.

Now, Ben has been left with no choice but to turn off the comments section on his Instagram page to prevent trolling.

The singer, 50, has also appeared to take a break from social media in the wake of his breakup - with his last post on the site having been uploaded almost one week ago.

Previously, Vanessa’s supporters clapped back at Ben for uploading a video of himself travelling on a train whilst smiling and laughing as he sang along to Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams.

It was posted last Sunday, just after the news of their breakup surfaced - with some followers deeming the upload as ‘inappropriate’, while others pledged to unfollow him in solidarity with Vanessa.

Ben sung the opening lyrics of the track: "Now here you go again, you say..."

"On the train vibez again," he wrote while appearing to sit in first class. "God bless if you’re reading this."

The Mirror has contacted a representative of Ben Ofoedu and Vanessa Feltz for a comment on the matter.
