Vanessa Feltz is eager to move on from her bitter split with fiancé of sixteen years, Ben Ofoedu, and she is ready to take the brave steps needed to move past her heartbreak and open herself up to love again.
The This Morning regular, 61, ended her longterm romance with singer Ben, 51, at Christmas after discovering his infidelity after he had cheated on her multiple times throughout the duration of their relationship.
The much-loved TV star recently geared herself up for her very first date in 17 years as she headed out for her first match as part of the brand-new series of Celebs Go Dating after she turned to the dating experts to help her navigate a trusting relationship again.
And after Vanessa took her brave step forward in going on her first date in 17 years, Celebs Go Dating expert Anna Williamson has sung her praises, admitting that Vanessa is finally ready to move on from her 'devastating' split with Ben.
"We were really delighted that she wanted to come on the show, and she really does want to find love. She wants to move on from the heartbreak of her ex, she wants to move forwards and I think it’s really exciting for her to come on," the dating expert gushed.
Hinting at some very emotional scenes with heartbroken Vanessa, Anna added to Daily Star: "I think viewers are going to be intrigued as she unpacks the devastating heartbreak she’s been through."
Vanessa recently described her first date since Ben as 'terrifying' as she shared her mixed feelings as she headed out on her first date in nearly two decades as part of the celebrity dating show.
Speaking to her Instagram on her way to the date, Vanessa said: "OMG going off on my first date for Celebs Go Dating. I haven't been on a date for 17 years, so just imagine how I'm feeling. I can't even find the words to describe it, and I'm good at words."
Vanessa joins a host of other celebrities for Celebs Go Dating including OnlyFans star Lottie Moss, Love Island's Chloe Burrows and Adam Collard, comedian Spuddz and and Made In Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli.
Show bosses were reportedly keen to secure Vanessa for this series after she became single following the shock split from Ben in February.
A TV Insider told The Sun last month: "When Vanessa was first approached to do the show, she wasn’t 100 per cent sure as the break-up was very fresh and she didn’t want to rush into anything.
"Now she has had time to think about it and she’s decided to give it a whirl. Her relationship coming to a devastating, unexpected end after 16 years has made her realise that life is short and you have to grab opportunities when they come your way."
