Vandals cause damage at Bristol SEND School during break-in

A school in Hartcliffe has been left with considerable damage to furniture, following a break-in at the weekend. New Fosseway School was broken into sometime between 7pm on Friday (July 15) and around 5am on Monday (July 18).

Police say paint has also been thrown and enquiries are underway to identify those responsible. A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police told Bristol Live: "We have received a report of a break-in at a school in Bristol.

"It is believed entry was gained to the New Fosseway School at some point between 7pm on Friday 15 July and 5.20am on Monday 18 July. It is reported that some furniture and doors have been damaged and some paint has been thrown.

"CCTV enquiries are underway to try to identify the person, or persons, responsible. Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call 101 and give reference number 5222170301.”

New Fosseway School is located at the Bridge Learning Campus on Teyfant Road in Hartcliffe and has provision for 150 children and young people, between the ages of four and 19 who identify as having Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
