The Rams have missed Van Jefferson for part of training camp after he tweaked his knee and was required to undergo a minor procedure to fix the injury. Tutu Atwell and Ben Skowronek have helped fill in during Jefferson’s absence, but there’s no question who will be the No. 3 receiver when everyone is healthy.
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN shared some encouraging news Tuesday, reporting that Jefferson has begun his rehab process a week after surgery and still has a chance to play in Week 1 – though his exact timetable for return is not yet determined.
Rams WR Van Jefferson has begun training the rehab process a week after his knee surgery, a good sign as he tries to work his way back for the start of the season, per source. His timetable for return still not determined but he has a chance for Week 1.

Jefferson has now undergone two knee procedures this offseason, but neither surgery is expected to keep him out very long considering he still has a chance to play against the Bills in Week 1.
In the event that he can’t line up in the opener, either Atwell or Skowronek will take his place with the first-team offense.
